Please find below our top tips for keeping safe whilst using our public messageboards
(Remember only you and your expert can view the posts on your private messageboard).
- Remember, people might not be who they say they
are…
- Keep it safe and be cautious
when posting on the messageboards. You can’t be sure that
people
are who they say they are, or that the details they give about
themselves are true so be savvy and TRUST NO ONE!
- Don’t give out personal information on
the messageboards…
- Anything that you post on the
messageboards can be viewed by others. Never give out personal
information about yourself such as your name, address, e-mail address
or phone number. You wouldn’t print flyers out with this
information on and hand them round would you?! This is in effect what
you would be doing by posting your details online!
- Report any offensive/unsuitable
material…
- Seen something that offends
you on the boards? Chances are it might offend others as well. Report
any posts that contain unsuitable content or offensive material such
as swearing, harassment, links to unsuitable sites or
racist/inflammatory language. If you report it, we can remove it!
- You can report any
offensive/unsuitable posts by…?
- We can identify you by your
posts, so don’t assume you are anonymous on our
messageboards! We
will remove posts that: -
- are offensive in nature
- contain links to other websites not directly related to the
focus of the website
- contain swearing/racist language
- are spam
- threaten/harass other members
- We will report any serious
cases to users’ Internet Service Provider (ISP), and this may
have
serious implications so keep it clean guys!
- Be respectful to other
members and enjoy the messageboards!
